E.L.F. (Eyes Lips Face)?

i keep hearing that elf make up is good and is bad, but i dont know which one to believe. right now they are having a sale that is 50% off all items by januaray 31st, and i wanted to know if i should try it out. i have to order online, because they dont have it around in drugstores where i live so i dont want to waste my money.

i would like to know if the quality is good, and the makeup stays on long, doesn't smear, oily, etc.

thank you!E.L.F. (Eyes Lips Face)?
It's pretty good for $1.00. Seriously, because I use some of their products. I don't particularly care for the foundations or concealers though, and I haven't tried their powders. The colors are too orangey for me ( since I have an olive skintone) and the formulas are oily. The items that you should try are their eyeshadows, lip glosses (love the color and formula of their lip plumper duo, even though it doesn't actually plump the lips), and makeup tools. Don't go and spend over $20 there. Just try one of each thing you are really interested in. The main mistake people make with E.L.F. is that they go crazy during a sale like that and buy a bunch of things they don't even need. Their bath products, nail polishes, and lip glosses make for great, yet simple gifts too. I would recommend you try it. You have nothing to lose since it isn't overpriced. You might be suprised at what you find.

I would like to address what the girl below me said:

One of the main reasons E.L.F.'s products are so cheap is due to the fact that they don't have lots of advertisements like brands such as CoverGirl and Maybelline. The packaging is also very simple. The cost of certain cosmetics doesn't necessarily have to do with the ingredients and quality, a lot of it has to do with the name, advertisement, and packaging.

*Here is a piece from an article I found online regarding E.L.F.'s quality and pricing:

Eyes Lips Face Cosmetics (also known as E.L.F. Cosmetics) sells all of their cosmetics, tools, brushes, nail polishes, blotters, etc for $1 each. You have likely seen the name mentioned in Glamour, Allure and other beauty and fashion magazines. This is not the standard $1 cheapo lipsticks you might find at the supermarket or the dollar store. The premise of Eyes Lips Face is to provide their consumers products with the same ingredients and packaging technology as higher end, more expensive counterparts. E.L.F is animal friendly and a supporter of charities.E.L.F. (Eyes Lips Face)?
It's not that bad.

But it's not the greatest either

so you shouldn't get it...

it's you option not yours

so i don't really care
I've been using it and I have sensitive skin and it hasn't made me break out or anything. So far I've used the powder, lip gloss, eye liner, and eye shadow. I really like it. Not sure if you have a Long's Drugstore where you live but you can get some of their stuff there also.
i don't like it at all but it is cheap
Well 50% off is only 50 cents and item so might as well try it because everything is a dollar originally. Its ok makeup not the greatest.
It's cheap makeup. Maybe worth 50 cents, but really not much more.
Where are they 50% off? They are good my friends has them [the brushes].
i've never tried e.l.f., i don't want to, and i never will. the products are $1. $1! who knows what goes in that makeup? i read in a news article before that some of the cheap makeup that is made in china contains high levels of lead content. lead can cause brain damage, so i dont know if you want to put that on your eyes and lips...besides, the makeup is obviously of an inferior quality if it took $1 or less to make...

i think you should stick to brands of makeup that are a little bit more expensive than that....they don't have to be super-expensive or anything...brands like maybelline have fairly good makeup. so bascially, dont get anything.
