Normally a nude or beige color. Almost all the smokey eyes include nude lips. Mac has some really good tones. Such as fleshpot or blankety. Myth is really good as well.
NYX has some very cheap alternatives like creamy beige, Thalia, summerlove, %26amp; perfect taupe. Thier lipsticks range from $1.00 to $7.00. Normally I see them for $2.00. Sometimes cheaper.

nude with a little bit of pink in it. you need a tiny bit of color, but it should still be understated. i'm almost out of my sally hanson lip glaze stuff. it comes in a little pot. the color i have is ';fresh strawberry.'; it looks obnoxious in the pot but it goes on almost clear. i need to buy more...

nude lips are the general rule for makeup artists. mac and sephora have great nude colors, but you can get really really cheap shades from e.l.f.
